Shawn’s Senior Year” begins as a documentary looking at Shawn Miller’s final year of high school and his ascent into an adult transition program. As a person with mild-moderate Autism, Shawn has a unique perspective on a world he does his best to understand. What starts off as a glimpse into Shawn moving from high school into adulthood, becomes something else entirely when the final months of his senior year are greatly impacted by Covid-19. From there we see how Shawn copes with world upheaval during the “Covid Summer” of 2020, leaving high school, being launched into a completely unfamiliar school environment, as well as the other highs and lows that everyone experiences as they try and find their way in a rapidly changing world.
