The final event list for VHS Fest / Underground Filmmaker Alley has been announced! We’re excited to bring you ultra cool indie filmmakers, awesome movie showings and exciting panels this Sept 12th-14th at the mega SCARE-A-CON convention hosted by Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY this Sept 12th-14th.
GUEST LIST:
The guest lists includes Todd Sheets (“House of Forbidden Secrets”), Hugh Gallagher (“Gorotica”), Mark Polonia (Saturday only, “Splatter Farm”), Brett Kelly (Sunday only, “My Fair Zombie”), Eli DeGeer (“China White Serpentine”), Chris Seaver (“Sexsquatch”), and Ron Bonk (Event host, “She Kills”). And, for an added bonus, we’ve gotten word that Joe Stauffer (“Pieces of Talent”) will be attending SCARE-A-CON as a vendor, so with his blessing we’ve added him and his lead actor David Long to some of our fun activities.

Highlights among the movies showing include the much buzzed about “HI-8” and “House of Forbidden Secrets” starring Lew Temple and Ari Lehman. Also, look for a showing of Stauffer “Pieces of Talent” in one of the SCARE-A-CON Film Fest rooms when the Film Fest schedule is announced.

The panels will delve into topics ranging from specific underground movies to making movies the truly independent way – from fundraising and production through secure distribution or self-distribution. This will be a great place for beginner filmmakers to glean knowledge from directors who have been doing what they love their own way for years and years.
