Tonight He Comes Home – Day of the Reaper Returns by Demand!

So a month or so back, we did a poll for which titles you fans might want to see next on limited edition from SRS. To our surprise, far and away the most requested title was Tim Ritter’s Super-8mm movie “Day of the Reaper”! It could be partially due to the high prices the out of print DVD and Bluray from the first HD release (captured from the original Super-8mm film) fetch on sites like Ebay ($50-$150 last we saw), but more so we think it’s because – despite the rough edges – the movie is just plain bad ass! It has great gore, shows a lot of promise from Tim in his teens, and features a great concept.

So get ready, cause “Day of the Reaper” is back! It’s the same HD version from the first release, and is available once again on Bluray and DVD (but with new art).  PLUS this time, we’re adding in a first ever VHS release of the HD cut. And it all unfolds at 7pm EST tonight!

“Five women on vacation are stalked by a hooded cannibal killer in the town of Sunnyville Florida. Tim Ritter’s first flick, shot on super 8mm when he was a teen, given a 2k transfer from the original film negs.”
