Hello there, I'm Ron Bonk, owner of SRS Cinema (an indie production & distribution company now in its 32nd year). I am once again teaming with ultra underground legend Matt Jaissle (“Necro Files, "Amityville AI”) to bring you our second to last movie in the Amityverse, “Amityville VR”.
After moving into a mysterious rental house in Amityville, New York, Artificial intelligence programmer Stuart Birdsall encounters an evil force so vile and deadly that it kills his wife, his friends, and strips him of his sanity. But for Stuart Birdsall, the worst is yet to come. Released from a mental institution, Stuart is immediately kidnapped by federal agents. It appears that the deadly evil that infected his program has now infected government systems. Stuart is given an offer he cannot refuse. With the help of a VIRTUAL REALITY headset, Stuart must enter a simulation. A manufactured labyrinth of evil; populated by a nightmarish collection of demons and creatures hell bent on the annihilation of the human race. He must destroy the demon in charge, or die trying!
We've done several Amityville movies here at SRS, but I think this one will be the best of them all – the legendary curse, but in VR? Who won’t want to see that?!
As usual, we've set the initial goal at just $1000. This is not the budget of the movie, but by setting a low goal, we are hoping to be funded early and get the movie trending! The money raised here will help us bring in talent, order props, create the special effects, and feed/shelter the talent. Matt knows how to work with ultra small budgets, but give him a few $$s more and the production values grow by leaps and bounds – we have so much fun watching every movie he makes. And talk about a guy who knows how to make horror movies? Expect lots of crazy creatures and plenty of blood! We’re honored to working with him. Sure, seeing another Friday the 13th fan film is cool, but wouldn’t you rather help an original production, one that can actually be released?
